a few things to know.

How do I add the extension?

Klee Translate is on the Chrome Web Store. For now it supports desktop Chrome only. Open the store page

  1. On the store page, click “Add to Chrome”.
  2. In the browser's extensions menu, pin Klee Translate to the toolbar.
Which browsers and platforms are supported?

For now the extension runs in desktop Chrome only. Streaming subtitles work on Netflix, Disney+, Crunchyroll, Prime Video and YouTube; YouTube needs the Large plan or above. Web page translation is not limited to that list.

Can it translate a video with no subtitles?

Streaming translation works from the platform's own subtitle track. Check that the video has subtitles; without a track, it cannot be translated yet.

Do I have to wait for the whole episode?

Translations arrive as the job progresses. Starting one means reading and processing the subtitles, and the wait varies with length, model and service load; whatever is done is watchable already.

Does rewatching translated content cost credits again?

Content this account already unlocked is free to rewatch; going further is charged for the new part only. Web pages served from your cache cost nothing — the pricing page has the details.

Can it translate PDFs and images?

PDF and image translation are planned. For now there are streaming subtitles, bilingual web reading and selection translation.

What gets sent when it translates?

The subtitles or page text being translated, plus the context needed for it. How that is processed, logged and kept is set out in the privacy policy.
